Waterditch -The Springline walking route

This is a straight, long drainage ditch which leads across the field from the Lees woodland to the Reedbank as you come from Cholsey towards The Astons. It is a rich little eco system of its own supporting a whole array of species. As part of our reference gathering, I spent time dipping my phone camera (inside a specially design bag!) down into the ditch to see what was under the water. That experience inspired this painting - I found many three spine stickel back and minnows who posed beautifully for my videos - and here they are.
